“We will comply Mr. President with your deadline. Sabi ko huwag silang uuwi tonight, tomorrow, weekend, because you gave a three-day deadline to distribute the checks,” Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said during President Rodrigo Duterte’s meeting with several Cabinet Secretaries on June 4.

Sabi ko i-count out muna ‘yun, basta ‘yung bulk [unahin] niyo,” Duque said.

“Nakakahiya talaga, sir eh.

President Duterte asked Secretary Duque “to form a new team that would focus on the immediate delivery of the assistance that should be given to ‘yung namatay at nagkasakit. I expect it within 24 hours.”
