An explosion rocked anew the town of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat Sunday evening, a report from the Police Regional Office 12 said.
Police Supt. Aldrin Gonzales. PRO-12 spokesperson, said the explosion took place around 7:28 p.m. near the Prince Internet Café in Barangay Kalawag 2.
Gonzales said at least 8 victims, many of whom sustained leg injuries, were rushed to the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital.
A report from the Isulan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), however, put the number of injured persons to 14, and at least one dead.
Gonzales said they are still verifying the reports that one was killed in the explosion.
Other reports, he said, indicate that that the victim was critically-wounded and is still being revived.
Police Scene of the Crime Operation investigators are now inspecting the blast site as of this posting, he added.
On August 28, three persons were killed while 36 others were injured when a bomb exploded at a line of second-hand clothing stalls in Barangay Kalawag while the town was celebrating its foundation anniversary and Hamungaya festival.
Activities related to founding anniversary were immediately canceled following the blast.
Police recently released a computerized cartographic sketch of a bomb suspect in connection with the Aug. 28 incident but have yet to make an arrest.
Sultan Kudarat Gov. Pax Mangudadatu has offered P1 million reward for any information leading to the arrest of the August 28 bombing suspects.
