Modern transport hub rising in Parañaque

The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (Parañaque ITX), also known as Southwest Terminal of the Integrated Transport System (ITS), is already 68.47% complete as of February 2018, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said. Target completion date is April 2018.

“Envisioned to be a modern transportation hub, the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (Parañaque ITX) will provide seamless interconnectivity of the different modes of transportation from the neighboring provinces south of Metro Manila. This ensures a safe, convenient, and hassle-free travel experience for the commuting public,” DOTr said.

“Combined with the rationalization of provincial and city routes, this 2.9 hectare facility will maximize road usage through the reduction of vehicle volumes and trafficflow improvement, provide efficient interconnections between different transport modes and services, and uplift the public passenger experience thru its modern and world-class amenities,” it added.

Parañaque ITX will connect passengers coming from the Cavite side to other transport systems such as the future LRT Line 1 South Extension, city bus, taxi, and other public utility vehicles that are serving inner Metro Manila.

The project will include passenger terminal buildings, arrival and departure bays, public information systems, ticketing and baggage handling facilities, and park-ride facilities.

Parañaque ITX is a public-private partnership (PPP) project between MWM Terminals – a consortium of Megawide Construction Corp. and WM Property Management Inc. – and DOTr.
