The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is eyeing to deploy modern electric buses to augment Point-to-Point (P2P) buses serving as alternative mode of transportation for MRT-3 commuters.
DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade inspected on February 23 a prototype of the said modern electric bus.
“DOTr Sec Tugade leads an inspection of a protoype modern electric bus as part of the PUV Modernization Program,” DOTr said.
“This bus, along with other modern buses, may soon be added to the fleet of P2P buses for the MRT-3 bus augmentation project. Each unit can accommodate up to a maximum of 120 passengers,” it added.
