The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) is installing modern aerobridges at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.
MIAA said it has embarked on a project to replace the decades old passenger boarding bridges (PBB) of the NAIA Terminal 1 with modern aerobridges.
The new aerobridges are made of glass walls going away with the steel walls of old bridges.
“The units are also air-conditioned and are equipped with CCTV cameras with a view of the apron,” MIAA added.
“The bridges are also designed with programmable motor controller and are ground power unit (GPU) ready,” it noted.
