‘Mas maigting ang ating pagti-test’: Roque on more confirmed cases than Indonesia

Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque has said that Philippines has more cases because it is conducting more tests.

The presidential spokesperson said that the Philippines has done 1,643,539 tests or an average of 28,938 tests per day.

“Sa parehas na petsa, as of August 4, according to Our World in Data, iyong Indonesia raw po tested around 908,000 lamang or an average of 14,921 per day within the last seven days,” Secretary Roque said.

“Ang Indonesia po with almost more or less the same cases as us, has 1/3 of the actual testing that we have conducted on our people ‘no. So iyon po ang aking basis for saying na hindi naman talaga totoo at conclusive na mas marami na tayong kaso dito sa Pilipinas compared to Indonesia, mas marami lang tayong kaso na nalalaman na dito sa Pilipinas dahil nga po three times ang ating testing more compared to the testing done by Indonesia,” Roque said.
