Marines welcome 13 new second lieutenants

The Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) welcomed thirteen newly reported second lieutenants during a traditional reception, fellowship, and emblem ceremony at The Basic School, Marine Base Gregorio Lim in Ternate, Cavite on February 6.

“Thirteen (13) young men and women from different sources of commissionships volunteered and reported to the Philippine Marine Corps in November 2020 – eight (8) from the Philippine Military Academy, including the top 3 graduates of PMA class 2020; two (2) from the Philippine Navy Officers Candidate School Class 32, including their top 3 graduates; and three (3) from Philippine Navy Officers Candidate School Class 33, including the top 3 graduates of their class,” PMC said.

It noted that “the young volunteers are now pursuing their Marine Officer Basic Course training.”

“They were able to reach the top level of Philippine Marine Corps Martial Arts and currently undergoing Combat Pistol Qualification Course,” the PMC added.
