Parola-class vessels are 44-meter ships ordered from Japan Marine United through the Maritime Safety Capability Improvement Project (MSCIP) for PCG Phase 1.

MSCIP for PCG Phase 1 was funded through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) official development assistance (ODA) loan. A total of 10 Parola-class vessels were ordered.

“BRP Cabra will be deployed to support the anti-illegal drugs campaign piracy smuggling, illegal fishing, and other forms of lawlessness for conducting maritime security operation and patrol missions to our country,” PCG said.
