LOOK: PHL, Japan, India, Singapore, US warships sail together in Pacific Ocean

The Philippine Navy today shared several photos of Tarlac-class landing platform dock BRP Davao del Sur (LD 602) and Gregorio del Pilar-class frigate BRP Andres Bonifacio (FF 17) sailing with warships of Japan, Singapore, and United States en route to Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2018 in Hawaii.

According to Philippine Navy, the photos were captured by AugustaWestland AW-109 helicopter which is part of BRP Andres Bonifacio.

“The embarked Augusta Westland (AW-109) naval helicopter captured the Philippine Navy vessels in formation with Japanese Ship ISE (DDH182); India Navy Ship SAHYADRI (F49); United States Ship WILLIAM P LAWRENCE (DDG110) and Republic of Singapore Ship TENACIOUS (71) as they sail to Hawaii for the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2018 exercise, the world’s largest international naval exercise,” the Philippine Navy said.

United States Navy Pacific Fleet also uploaded several photos of the group sail dated June 23.

The ships are expected to arrive in Hawaii on June 25.

RIMPAC, world’s largest international naval exercise, is scheduled to officially start June 27 and will end on August 2.
