LOOK: Duterte receives fighter pilot helmet from Air Force

President Rodrigo Duterte was given a fighter pilot helmet as token during the 71st founding anniversary celebration of Philippine Air Force (PAF) at the Multi-Purpose Gymnasium in Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base (CJVAB), Pasay City on July 3, 2018.

PAF Commander Lieutenant General Galileo Kintanar, Jr. presented the token to President Duterte who graced the event as guest of honor and speaker.

In his speech, the President called on PAF to remain vigilant in protecting the nation from threats of terrorism and external forces.

“I therefore enjoin the men and women of the Philippine Air Force to remain vigilant as we intensify our fight against the current challenges of terrorism and external security,” he said.

Duterte said that the Air Force will be getting PHP139 billion worth of new equipment and assets under the Horizon 2 of Revised Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program.
