LOOK: BRP Davao del Sur, BRP Andres Bonifacio moored at Pearl Harbor

The United States Navy has released several photos of ships of RIMPAC 2018 participating nations moored at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam taken July 2. Among the ships moored are Philippine Navy landing platform dock BRP Davao del Sur (LD-602) and frigate BRP Andres Bonifacio (FF-17).

RIMPAC 2018 is currently at its harbor phase with sea phase to be conducted around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California.

Twenty-five nations, 46 ships, five submarines, about 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are currently participating in RIMPAC 2018.

RIMPAC is the world’s largest international maritime exercise.

It provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security of the world’s oceans, the US Navy said.
