The 18-deck cruise ship, with 16 decks accessible to passengers, has 168,666 gross tonnage and is considered among the 6th largest cruise ships together with its two other sister ships under Quantum-class.

“This cruise ship, by far, is the largest cruise vessel accommodated in Philippine ports,” the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said.

Prior to coming to Manila, MS Ovation of the Seas docked in Subic.

MS Ovation of the Seas Captain Flemming Neilson said “this double ship call is a historic one for Royal Caribbean International in the Philippines, as Ovation of the Seas is the largest ever cruise to call at any port here.”

“The success of our ship calls in the Philippines this week is attributed to the strong support and close cooperation from the terminal operators and tourism authorities, which we greatly appreciate,” Neilson added.
