The Philippine Fleet’s Littoral Combat Force welcomed patrol ship BRP General Mariano Alvarez (PS38) during an arrival ceremony at Captain Moya Boat Landing, Naval Base Cavite on September 30.
This is after one year and six months of deployment in Naval Forces Western Mindanao area of operations. BRP General Mariano Alvarez will be undergoing dry docking and other related repairs at Naval Shipyard.
According to Philippine Fleet, BRP General Mariano Alvarez actively participated in maritime patrol and missions to include bilateral and trilateral maritime activities together with the Royal Australian Navy, Royal Malaysian Navy and Indonesian Navy.
“BRP General Mariano Alvarez accomplished each mission tasked to them with precision and excellence,” Littoral Combat Force commander Commodore Rey T. Dela Cruz said during the ceremony. “It is of great pride to welcome them for a job well done.”
