Lady guard returns P182K left at Clark Airport

A lady guard at the Clark International Airport (CRK) turned over a wallet with cash amounting to over PhP182,000 apparently left behind by a passenger at the airport’s greeters’ area last January 1.

Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) President Jaime Alberto Melo said Lorna Brinosa, an aviation security personnel, turned over the wallet to airport operations officers, who listed the money as a lost and unclaimed item.

Except for the cash, there was no identification card or any document found inside the wallet.

Brinosa, a 39 year-old security guard of 888 Gallant Security Corp. assigned at the landside commercial area of the airport terminal, discovered the wallet on the floor of a nearby light post.

“We commend the honesty of Ms. Brinosa as other persons of lesser character might have kept the cash since the wallet has no ID of the owner. We further assure passengers of Clark Airport’s strict policy to immediately turn over or return lost or abandoned items to their rightful owners,” CIAC President Melo said.

The CRK currently accommodates around 11,500 passengers daily and registers an average of 726 combined domestic and international flights weekly. DOTr
