Korean destroyer arrives in Philippines for goodwill visit

Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) destroyer ROKS Munmu the Great (DDH-976) and ROKS Hwacheon (AOE-59) are currently in the country for a goodwill visit until September 4.

The Philippine Navy welcomed the Korean ships today, September 2 in Manila.

Aboard the Korean ships are navy personnel and officers as well as cadets. They are in a 143-day cruise training to visit over ten countries.

The Korean Navy Cruise Training Task Group was sent off August 28 at the port of Jinhae in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.
