Kim Jong Un personally guides testing of new missile as solemn warning to SoKor

According to North Korea’s state media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “personally organized and guided the fire of the new-type tactical guided weapon as part of the power demonstration.”

This is after South Korea reported on July 25 that North Korea fired two missiles involving a new type of short-range ballistic missile.

KCNA said that firing activity aims “to send a solemn warning to the south Korean military warmongers who are running high fever in their moves to introduce the ultramodern offensive weapons into south Korea and hold military exercise in defiance of the repeated warnings from the DPRK.”

“The power demonstration fire gave satisfactory verification once again to the efficiency indicators of the system,” it added.

The missile test was conducted after South Korea announced a joint military exercise with US next month.
