A KIA light tactical vehicle (KLTV) was spotted guarding Philippine Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio. A photo of the said deployment was uploaded by MaxDefense in its social networking page.
“This is one example where armored light tactical vehicles can replace larger armored personnel carriers in certain roles, allowing the Philippine Army to use the APCs in operations that require them,” MaxDefense said.
“The Philippine Army is in the process of acquiring hundreds of armored light tactical vehicles as part of the Horizon 2 phase of RAFPMP. The Kia KLTV is expected to be one of the strong competitors for the project,” it added.
KIA reportedly provided the Philippine Army with KLTVs as evaluation units.
