Secretary Tugade recognized the hard work of the 7,000 Filipino workers behind the building of the 250th ship by THICI.

“Noting that the company’s biggest investment outside Japan is in Cebu, Sec. Tugade encouraged the shipbuilding company to also build a hospital ship for the Filipinos,” DOTr said.

“The Japanese company currently employs over 10,000 workers and have built school buildings, a public market, and a hospital, benefitting about 100,000 Cebuanos in the community,” it added.
