According to PCG, the participants were trained regarding basic engine plant and over-hauling, machinery management, electrical equipment and motor control, refrigeration and air-con, as well as trouble shooting onboard the Parola-class multi-role response vessel BRP Malapascua (MRRV-4403).

“The training course is one of JICA’s efforts to assist the PCG in the enhancement of the operational and maintenance capability of its floating assets utilized in the performance of maritime security, maritime safety, maritime law enforcement, search and rescue, and marine environment protection,” PCG said.
