The Japanese government will be turning over 27 sets of new equipment for the rehabilitation of Marawi City, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Undersecretary Emil Sadain said during a press briefing in Malacañang on March 9.
“This coming March 15, there will be another 27 sets of new equipment. But this time, it will come from government of Japan,” Sadain said.
It can be remembered that China donated 47 sets of heavy equipment for Marawi City in October 2017.
“This also includes the turnover of about 26 vehicles to the Task Force by Mitsubishi Company, and a grant from Japanese government also for the UN Habitat Program,” he added.
“DPWH is working through also closely with other financing donors like ADB and JICA to attain a more comprehensive plan of development,” he said.
