Japan donates bomb disposal equipment to Philippines


The Japanese government, through its Embassy in Manila, turned over donated explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) equipment and other protective equipment to the Philippine National Police (PNP) today, February 12.

The donated equipment include 6 bomb disposal suits, 6 ballistic shields, 440 body armor, and 440 helmets. The equipment were provided by Japan under Japan Grant Aid for Economic and Social Development Program for the Philippines


Japanese Ambassador Koji Hameda and PNP Police Director General Oscar Albayalde attended the turnover ceremony.
