Japan donates 22 emergency vehicles for Luzon

The Japanese government has turned over to Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) 22 emergency vehicles bringing to a total of 76 emergency vehicles donated by the government of Japan to the BFP since 2014.

The turn over of vehicles was held on March 25 during a ceremony at BFP National Headquarters, Agham Road, Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Diliman, Quezon City.

Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo M. Año and Ambassador of Japan to the Philippines Koji Haneda graced the event.

The emergency vehicles: 14 ambulances, 6 pumpers, and 2 rescue trucks were distributed to municipalities and cities in Luzon, specifically in Regions 1, 2, 3, 4A, 5, and Cordillera Administrative Region.

Since 2014, Japan already donated 37 emergency vehicles for Visayas and 17 for Mindanao.
