The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) has completed training a total of six Philippine Navy TC-90 pilots with the recent completion of flight training program for two Filipino pilots.
The training was held at Air Training Group Tokushima, JMSDF, the Japanese Ministry of Defense (MOD) said.
“JMSDF completed all flight training programs lasted for almost one-year for total six Philippine navy pilots,” the Japanese MOD said.
It added that JMSDF also completed the program for support of maintenance service for Philippine maintenance team.
These various training were part of the five Beechcraft King Air TC-90 donation made by the Japanese government.
The initial two TC-90 aircraft arrived March 27, 2017. TC-90 with tail number 390 was activated on November 21, 2017. Three more TC-90 aircraft are expected to arrive this month.
