The Philippine Army previously said that the CTTT aims to enhance the counter-terrorism capabilities of Army personnel.

“It also aims to improve the operational and instructional skills of the PA Training Schools in anti-terrorism and combat techniques,” it added.

Israel Ambassador to the Philippines Rafael Harpaz today, July 2 visited Fort Magsaysay to witness the ongoing training between two forces.

“Be strong,” Harpaz told the Army officials during the visit. “We cannot have a 100% success against terrorism but we must continue to share our experiences on how to best address it.”

Philippine Army commanding general Lieutenant General Macairog S. Alberto said “the Philippine Army recognizes the evolving security environment in the country and its neighboring states.”

“Thus we welcome the help of our international counterparts in enhancing our counter-terrorism capabilities through various training and information exchange,” Lieutenant General Macairog said.
