Israeli company completes delivery of Hermes UAVs to Philippines – report

MaxDefense Philippines said in an article that it received confirmation from sources that the Philippine Air Force (PAF) has received the full delivery of Hermes 900 and Hermes 450 medium altitude long endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Israeli company Elbit Systems.

PAF said in a publication released June this year that it “is expecting the final delivery of two (2) Unmanned Aerial System composed of six (6) Hermes 900, Ground Control Station, Ground Data Terminal and other support equipment.”

“This will further boost the ISR coverage in the entire country,” PAF noted.

The delivery is part of Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Level 3 Acquisition Project through the ongoing Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Modernization Program.

Under this project, PAF acquired 1 system of Hermes 450 and 3 systems of Hermes 900. Each system has 3 UAVs.

MaxDefense noted that the deal included 1 spare used Hermes 450 UAV.
