IKEA Shelters built for Lung Center frontliners

IKEA Shelters were built at the Lung Center of the Philippines under The Oasis Project. These shelters will serve as temporary shelters for frontliners.

Vice President Leni Robredo visited the said project on June 7. “Ngayong araw ay bumisita doon si VP Leni upang makita ang mga naitayo nang IKEA Shelters at upang personal na magpasalamat sa ating partners, na pinagsama-sama ang husay sa kani-kanilang larangan upang mabigyan ng maayos na pahingahan ang ating frontliners,” the Office of the Vice President (OVP) said.

“Sa mga darating na araw ay patuloy pang aayusin at pagagandahin ang ating temporary shelters, sa paglalayong maging maginhawa ang pamamalagi ng ating magigiting na health workers dito,” the OVP said.

The OVP thanked Architect Peach Buencamino, interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario, Architect Rene Heray of United Architects of the Philippines, Shirley Sanders of Gardens by Sanders, and kay Ronnie Traballo of Bomanite.

“Maraming salamat rin po sa iba pa nating #AngatBuhay partners at donors, kabilang na sina Jeffrey at Vivian Ng ng Astoria Properties; Elizabeth Cheng; Toots, Zaldy, at Mylene Co; ang EM Cuerpo, Inc. at Nippon Paint; gayundin sa mga miyembro ng 51st Engineer Brigade ng Philippine Army na tumulong sa atin na itayo ang IKEA Shelters, at sa ating mga kasamahan sa Armed Forces of the Philippines: kina AFP chief of staff Gen. Felimon T. Santos Jr., Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Gilbert Gapay, AFP Chief Engineer Maj. Gen. William Ilagan, at Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Anthony Ramos, na namumuno sa 51st Engineer Brigade,” the OVP said.
