“Hindi pa ba sapat ang tatlong taon para maisaayos ang problema,” Senator Grace Poe said in a statement after the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said that the situation of MRT-3 did not become worse.
She added that “with a P22-billion rehabilitation fund, one cannot blame the Filipino people, especially the train passengers, for yearning for relief from the glitches that plague MRT-3’s operations.”
“It is but just and right that we give them a ride that is safe, convenient and comfortable because the people deserve no less,” she said.
Pero ang realidad, hindi po agarang maiaayos ang mga problemang ilang taon ding naipon at napabayaan,” the DOTr said in response to Poe’s July 3 statement saying it seems that the situation of MRT-3 worsened.
DOTr said that Sumitomo-Mitsubishi Heavy Industries took over as the maintenance and rehabilitation of MRT-3 in May 2019.
