Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police Director General (PDG) Ronald dela Rosa and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairperson Andrea Domingo led the unveiling of signage prohibiting government employees in casinos.
The unveiling of signage was held at Solaire Resort and Casino on January 24.
“The signage, which will be put in casinos and other gambling places nationwide, warn government employees including officials and uniformed personnel to stay out of these places,” PNP said.
“Violators will be arrested and charged,” PNP added.
“The posting of warning signage is part of strengthening the anti-gambling and anti-corruption campaign of the PNP,” it added.
The unveiling of signage was made after President Rodrigo Duterte instructed PDG dela Rosa to strictly implement the prohibition of government employees from entering and gambling in casinos.
