Flight from Cebu escorted by 2 Singaporean F-15s after bomb scare

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) has deployed two F-15SGs to escort a Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd, operating as Scoot, flight from Cebu for report of bomb scare which later on turned out to be false alarm.

“Two The Republic of Singapore Air Force’s F-15SGs scrambled to escort an inbound FlyScoot plane from Cebu after a bomb scare, but it turned out, after investigations, to be a false alarm,” Singapore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen said in a Facebook post on June 2.

“The SAF (Singapore Armed Forces) takes every threat as real and seriously, until proven otherwise. The RSAF will stay ever vigilant,” he added.

The said flight safely landed at Changi Airport with 144 passengers and 6 crew members.

In a Channel News Asia report, Singapore police said a 13-year-old male passenger, who allegedly made the bomb threat, was cooperating with investigations.
