First two Osprey aircraft for JGSDF arrive in Japan

The first two Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey tiltrotor military aircraft ordered by the Japanese government for Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) have arrived in Japanese soil on May 8 for delivery.

The two aircraft were offloaded at Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni.

The Osprey is a multi-mission capable of both vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) and short takeoff and landing (STOL).
