Exercise between US, PHL Marines ends today

The 10-day Marine Aviation Support Activity (MASA) 19.2 between the Philippine Marine Corps and United States Marine Corps which started on July 15 will end today during a ceremony at Basa Air Base in Pampanga.

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) also participated in MASA 19.2.

According to Philippine Marines, MASA aims to strengthen the defense and strategy of the two countries against terrorism.

Philippine Marines spokesperson Captain Felix Serapio said they expect that the exercise would have greatly improved the inter-operability of the two countries Marine force, which they can use not only against terrorism, but even during the conduct of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster relief Operations (HADR) during calamities.
