President Rodrigo Duterte today, February 28 led the inauguration of NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 by unveiling the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 Project marker.
President Duterte, together with his Cabinet officials and officials from local government units conducted a windshield inspection of the Harbor Link Segment 10 area.
NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 spans from Valenzuela City to the new Caloocan Interchange in C3 Road, Caloocan City.
It is connected to Segment 9, a 2.42km segment from MacArthur Highway in Valenzuela City to NLEX SMART Connect Interchange.
According to DPWH, the new segment is envisioned to alleviate traffic congestion in Metro Manila as it will serve as an alternate corridor for motorists traveling from Central and North Luzon provinces, Valenzuela City, and Quezon City to Manila.
Villar said the road project will benefit around 30,000 motorists per day and will decrease travel time from Valenzuela City to C-3 in Caloocan from 1 hour to only about 5 minutes.
Prior to the inauguration, the President graced the groundbreaking ceremony for the NLEX-SLEX Connector Road Project that links the C-3 to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
