President Rodrigo Duterte said before former members of NPA during a Merienda he hosted in Malacañang on February 7 that if he will not be a “dictator” nothing will happen to the nation.
“If you say dictator, I will be dictator. Because if I will not be a dictator, nothing will happen to this country,” Duterte said using Cebuano dialect, translated in English by Presidential Communications Operations Office.
(Muingon mo’g diktador, diktador gyud ko. Kay og di ko mag-diktador, p****** i**, walang mangyayari sa bayan na ‘to. Tinuod. Og di ko mag-diktador, kanang style nako ron, walay mahitabo sa atong nasod.)
“I had to. Besides you have chosen me as your President. Why won’t you follow me when my dreams are all for you,” he added.
(Kinahanglan. Tutal pinili man ko ninyo. Ngano di man ninyo ko sundun? Unya ang akong tinguha para man ninyong tanan. Og kung mutu-o pud mong y***, bilyon-bilyon.)
The President added that he is not afraid to Joma Sison. “Why should I be scared of Sison? They keep on trying to scaring me. You want to fight with me? Face me. I have helicopters. When my bomb will hit the area, you will complain,” he said.
(Nganong mahadlok kong Sison? Sige’g panghadlok sa ako. Tonto gyud. Sukol ka nako? Naa ko’y eroplano. Ah, lagpot bitaw akong bomba, reklamo.)
“When I said that I would bomb the schools, they said “Duterte is a dictator, fascist, this and that, U.S.” Son of a b****, it’s an insult. When did I become a puppet of the Americans,” he said.
(Ingnan nako “bombahan ko nang inyong p**** i**** eskwelahan.” Ana dayon sila “Ah Duterte diktador, pasista, mao kini, mao kana, U.S.” T*** i**** insulto. Kanus-a pa ko nagpa-under sa Amerikano?)
