Hindi na kailangan ‘yung challenge,” Department of Transportation (DOTr) Assistant Secretary Alberto Suansing said on June 2 over Teleradyo.

Suansing said DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade wants them to see and experience first hand the ordeal of commuting public.

This is after Senator Nancy Binay challenged DOTr officials to use public transport service from home to work.

Three months under ECQ and still they have no clear plan in place. What happened to foresight? They won’t be able to plan well if they don’t feel and understand the people’s daily struggles,” the senator said.

Suansing noted that the re-introduction of public transport service is being done in a calibrated manner or in phases.

“[Secretary Tugade] gave an order sa amin na tingnan at pag-aralan ang pag-introduce ng ibang bus routes sa Metro Manila,” Suansing said. “Makikiusap ako sa ating mga commuters, please bear with us.”
