DOTr meets with ADB, JICA to further fast-track rail, other projects

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) today, August 1 held a coordination meeting with Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Clark, Pampanga.

The meeting was led by DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade.

The coordination meeting aimed to further fast-track the implementation of various transport infrastructure projects such as railways and elevated greenways, DOTr said.

DOTr said that officials present in the meeting were DOTr Usec. for Railways Timothy John Batan, Usec. for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark de Leon, Asec. for Railways and Mindanao Projects Eymard Eje, Philippine National Railways (PNR) General Manager Junn Magno, Northrail Chairman Eduardo Quintos, JICA Philippines Chief Representative Yoshio Wada, ADB Deputy Director General for Southeast Asia Cleo Kawawaki, ADB Consultant Joven Balbosa, ADB principal transport specialist for Southeast Asia Markus Roesner, and ADB Senior Public-Private Partnership Officer Cathy Fong, among others
