‘Diplomatic protest fired off tonight’ – Secretary Locsin

“Diplomatic protest fired off tonight; can’t wait for first light,” Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teddy Locsin Jr. said in a tweet evening of March 21.

“So recommended by General Esperon this noon by What’s App. I got the coordinates, so to speak. And relayed to my legal artillery, “Fire at will.” Shell should be flying at first light. I don’t usually announce maneuvers but it seems everybody is baring his chest,” Secretary Locsin added.

Earlier today, Locsin said “the [National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea (NTF-WPS)] does not issue press releases. It is a secret group. I’m the trigger and the gun. And I’ve never responded to press releases. The refuge of nobodies.”

“Still waiting for the order to fire. I listen only to Generals; never media or an NTF press release which amounts to nothing. Only a shot from DFA counts. Waiting for the coordinates and the order to fire, Generals Esperon and Lorenzana. I fire even on a Sunday,” Locsin said in another tweet.

“Still waiting for the 2 generals but happy Coastguard dropped treasonous idea of maintaining an open line with its Chinese counterpart. I said, putangina, why, you need to clear your movements in our territorial waters? Now their command know their place. Under Tugade,” he also said.

This is after the NTF-WPS, on March 20, said in a statement that “around two hundred twenty (220) Chinese Fishing Vessels (CFVs), believed to be manned by Chinese maritime militia personnel, were sighted moored in line formation at the Julian Felipe Reef (Whitsun Reef) on March 7, 2021.”
