PCG said it rescued volunteers from PETA on January 15 after they were left in an island in San Isidro, Batangas during the evacuation of several trapped animals amid Taal Eruption.

According to PCG, PETA spokesperson shared that they were left in the island because of miscommunication with the boat captain.

“The rescued animals are now kept safe in the nearest evacuation center where they are provided with food and water,” PCG said.
