Coast Guard patrol ship BRP Cape Engaño receives acknowledgement

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)’s Parola-class patrol vessel BRP Cape Engaño has received an acknowledgement from IATF – Visayas and Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) for fast and reliable service to promote health and safety of Filipinos in Iloilo and Negros Occidental amid the current pandemic.

“Sa pangunguna ni Captain Glen B Daraug, tinanggap ng BRP Cape Engaño (MRRV-4411) ang pasasalamat na ito mula kina General Mel Feliciano, Chief Implementer ng IATF – Visayas at Secretary Michael Lloyd Diño ng OPAV,” PCG said.

“Sa mga nakalipas na buwan, aktibo ang BRP Cape Engaño (MRRV-4411) sa pagsasagawa ng FERRY MISSION para sa mga locally stranded individual (LSI) at pakikibahagi sa RELIEF OPERATION ng Western Visayas,” it added.

“Sinisiguro rin ng barko na mabilis at ligtas ang biyahe ng mga kawani ng IATF – Visayas na nangangasiwa sa mga inisiyatibo para ma-kontrol ang pagdami ng kaso ng COVID-19, partikular sa Iloilo at Negros Occidental,” PCG noted.
