The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced that the new Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) of Clark International Airport (CRK) is now 93.31% complete.
“At present, the site preparation works, earth works, foundation and substructure works, superstructure works, hollow core slab and the roof structure and sheeting are all completed,” DOTr said January 9.
It added that ongoing works include the exterior finishes, ancillary facilities, specialist systems and equipment, as well as the landside works and are in various stages of completion .
“Once finished by mid-2020, the new PTB will boost and triple the current passenger capacity, from 4.2 million to 12.2 million passengers annually,” DOTr said.
“These development at Clark International Airport is seen not just to help ease congestion at NAIA, but also to generate various jobs and push for economic growth in North and Central Luzon,” it noted.
