China-assisted feasibility study for Panay-Guimaras-Negros bridges ongoing

The feasibility study for Panay-Guimaras-Negros (PGN) Island Bridges Project by China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) Highway Consultants Co. Ltd is currently in progress.

“At present, the feasibility study project was going on smoothly,” the Chinese Embassy in Manila said on March 13.

The Chinese embassy said the Feasibility Study of the PGN Island Bridge Project is a project with technical assistance from China, undertaken by CCCC Highway Consultants Co Ltd. 

“On November 20, 2018, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to the Philippines. During the visit, President Xi and Philippine President Duterte witnessed the signing of the implementation agreement of the project,” it added.

On March 1 a team from CCCC Highway Consultants conducting marine water depth measurement in Guimaras Strait successfully rescued two Filipino fishermen.
