The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said that Philippine National Railways (PNR) Manila Engineering Division is currently working on its finishing touches to fast-track the re-opening of the PNR Caloocan-Makati line.
According to PNR General Manager Junn Magno, the PNR Caloocan to Makati service will soon be re-opened to the public after its closure for almost 20 years.
PNR also conducted track modifications in the PNR Abad Railroad Santos crossing to improve its efficiency and coverage.
On July 26, PNR conducted ballast tamping and turnout installation for the tracks of the PNR Caloocan line.
