BRP Andres Bonifacio conducts drill with Taiwanese navy ship

Philippine Navy offshore patrol vessel BRP Andres Bonifacio (PS17) conducted an exchanged signals through the “Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES)” with a Taiwanese Navy ship, Wu Chang (FFG-1205) at the northern tip of Mabudis island, Batanes, the Philippine Navy said.

BRP Andres Bonifacio is enroute to Busan, South Korea for the ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting-Plus Maritime Security Field Training Exercise 2019.

“ADMM-Plus MARSEC FTX 2019 represents an opportunity for invited navies to participate in multinational maritime activities in a manner which promotes greater levels of military cooperation and understanding amongst nations in a maritime security environment,” the Philippine Navy said.
