Black Hawks deliver COVID-19 vaccines to SOLCOM


Two Philippine Air Force (PAF) S70i Black Hawk combat utility helicopters (CUHs) has transported COVID-19 vaccines to Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM) with headquarters at Camp Guillermo Nakar, Lucena City.

SOLCOM commanding general Lieutenant General Antonio Parlade Jr. personally received the said vaccines.


“We are one with the government and the Health Department in the full force implementation of the National Vaccine Deployment Program. I am urging all members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines to join this effort so that we will be able to convey to our people the need for their cooperation in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic,” AFP Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana said on March 5.

PAF is currently operating 6 S70i Black Hawks as CUHS which were delivered fourth quarter of 2020 by Polish company Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze (PZL) Mielec, a Lockheed Martin company. Remaining 10 ordered S-70is are expected to be delivered this year.
