Binay prays General Sinas recover and have deeper respect for life

Former Vice President Jejomar Binay is praying that Philippine National Police (PNP) Police General Debold Sinas recover from COVID-19 and have deeper respect for value of life.

“I sincerely hope and pray that General Sinas will recover from Covid-19. And when he does, I pray he will have a deeper respect for the value of life, and why these senseless killings done by the PNP should stop. Isama na natin sa dasal ang iba pang govt. officials,” Binay said in a Twitter post.

PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Ildebrandi Usana said on March 11 that Police General Sinas tested positive for COVID-19.

PNP deputy chief for administration Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar was named officer-in-charge (OIC).

“Following the unfortunate incident wherein our Chief PNP, Gen. Debold M. Sinas, tested positive for coronavirus, I was designated as the OIC PNP as a matter of protocol,” Eleazar said.

“Right now, the Chief PNP is doing well and I am in constant communication with him for consultation, especially on matters that require his attention and guidance,” he added.
