Bike ride to honor SAF44 set on January 28

The National Bikers Organization in cooperation with the Philippine National Police (PNP) will be conducting a bike ride to honor the bravery and heroism of 44 PNP Special Action Force (SAF) commandos which will start at Luneta Park, Manila on Sunday, January 28 at 4 am.

The commemoration bike ride is dubbed as “The Commemoration Ride for the Gallant SAF 44”.

From Kilometer 0, bikers will pass through the SAF Headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City, going to SAF Training School in Fort Sto. Domingo, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. Finish line will be at PNP Academy (PNPA) in Silang, Cavite.

The event will culminate at the SAF 44 Monument where a Wreath-Laying Ceremony will be held.

“Also, part of the program is the narration of the history of the SAF and the heroism of the 44 SAF commandos on their successful police operations leading to the death of Zulkifli Bin Hir also known as Marwan, an international terrorist,” the PNP said.

“The objective of this activity is to integrate all the efforts for the advocacy campaign in grateful recognition of the supreme sacrifice made by the Gallant SAF 44, and to commemorate their heroism. It also aims to generate popular support in promoting enduring peace in society,” said PNP Director for Police Community Relations (DPCR) Police Director Eduardo Serapio Mayote Garado.
