RAN’s Anzac-class frigate HMAS Anzac (FFH 150) and replenishment vessel HMAS Sirius (O 266) sailed with France’s amphibious assault ship FS Tonnerre (L9014) and La Fayette-class frigate Surcouf (F711) in South China Sea, the Royal Australian Navy said on April 20.

According to RAN, the said deployment is part of Australian Defence Force’s “robust and long-standing program of international engagements, and demonstrates Australia’s commitment to working with regional partners to address shared challenges, including our region’s maritime security.”

FS Tonnerre are Surcouf are part of Jeanne d’Arc 2021 Task Group.
