Australia donates IT, multimedia equipment to Armed Forces of the Philippines


The Australian government has donated information technology and multimedia equipment to the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The turn-over ceremony was held at GHQ Canopy, Camp Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City today, June 23.

According to DWDD radio, the said activity was presided by MGEN EDGARDO Y DE LEON PA of OJ3.


Australian Defense Attache COL PAUL JOSEPH BARTA CSC said the said equipment will be used to prevent violent extremism not only in the Philippines but also in the whole world.

“AFP Chief of Staff GENERAL CIRILITO SOBEJANA expressed his gratitude to our longtime ally Australian Government in helping the country to counter insurgency,” DWDD reported.
