33IB said the patrol mission aims “to protect the heavy equipment and laborers against armed aggression by the communist NPA terrorists.”

“The construction of the Isulan-Kalamansig highway is still ongoing in Tinalon village up to Datu Wasay village in Kalamansig town,” 33IB said.

33IB commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Harold M. Cabunoc personally conducted a security assessment along the Isulan-Kalamansig road to evaluate security situation and readiness of the troops.

“The Makabayan Warriors are committed in defending the construction sites to facilitate the completion of the much awaited highway that would link western Kudarat to neighboring cities like Tacurong, Koronadal, and General Santos City,” 33IB said.
