Army troops discover arms cache of NPA

The 73rd Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army has discovered arms cache of NPA in two consecutive days.

The first arms cache was discovered March 28 which yielded a total of 490 rounds of M14 ammunition. The second arms cache was discovered March 29 which yielded one Caliber 5.56 mm M16 rifle, four magazines, and 82 ammunition.

Both arms cache were discovered at So Salyan, Brgy Sapu Masla, Malapatan, Sarangani Province as revealed by former members of NPA.

“With the help of the FRs, we located the NPA arms cache which they can use in conducting atrocities, especially this NPA Anniversary. We, the 73IB, will ensure the safety and security of the people always,” 73IB commanding officer Lt Col. Ronald G Valdez said.
