The Philippine Army held its first Heroes Challenge 2019 on December 3 at ROTC Hunters Guerilla Parade Ground.
According to the Army, the activity aimed to promote and test the physical fitness and well being of its personnel along with fostering camaraderie among the participating troops.
“As soldiers, we must always remember to look out for our bodies and mind to always be ready for any obstacle,” said Army Commanding General Lieutenant Geneneral Macairog S. Alberto.
The Army said around 400 personnel from the command’s units and offices went to perform various exercises such as Burpees, Caterpillar Push-up, Tabata Squat, Drag and Crawl, Modified sit ups, Plank and hop, 8-foot wall climb, Ammo Can Carry, Casualty carry, and 100 meter Truck Push.
“With this challenge, we have trained ourselves to become healthier and stronger so that we may fully serve the Filipino people with the best of our ability,” Lieutenant General Alberto said.
